About The Plays2b
The idea for The Plays2b started after we took our daughter (2 years old at the time) to a local indoor playground and saw something that just made sense: smiling kids, parents getting a chance to breathe, and a space that still kept parents in charge. That visit stuck with us, and it became the beginning of this dream.
Why we wanted to create it
More Than Home Toys
Sometimes kids just get bored with the same toys at home, don't need you to buy new ones, just need somewhere new to move, imagine, and play.
A Good Rainy Day Option
When the weather is too hot, too cold, or too rainy, families still need a place to go.​​​
Breathing Room for Parents
Sometimes you need a little time to sit, catch up on a few things, or simply enjoy seeing your child happily occupied.​
A Chance to Connect
It is also a place to meet other local families and help kids build friendships along the way.​​​
Built From Real Family Life
We are a husband-and-wife team who kept coming back to this idea because it feels like such a real need for families like ours. When we took our daughter to an indoor playground, we saw more than kids having fun. We saw a space where kids could move, play, and connect, while parents could catch their breath, get a little done, or simply enjoy being there. Some days kids get bored with the toys at home, and some days the weather just does not work in your favor. We loved the idea of creating a place that could be a real solution for those everyday moments.
This idea has also felt personal in a lot of other ways. We love our daughter deeply and like to say we are one and complete, but we still want her to keep meeting other kids, and we would love to meet other local families too, including other one-and-complete families.
Behind the scenes, The Plays2b has checked a lot of boxes for both of us, bringing together our interests and skills in marketing, design, remodeling, renovating, and creating a space people truly enjoy. We have brainstormed, talked through the details, and even gotten our daughter’s input along the way, all with the goal of building something that feels fun, thoughtful, and genuinely helpful for families.
